The reduced fee is applied to all PhD students and Master's thesis candidates.

The reduced fee is also applied to participants with a family income lower than 10,000 EUR per year AND who are working in Countries with a GNI per capita, PPP (current international $) lower than 10,000.00.

Reduced fees are also applied to Institutions that pay the fees for more than one enrolled participant (the invoice must be paid by the Institution).

 

In addition to the participation to lectures and lab sessions, the fee includes

  • a dropbox link to
    • slides of the lectures
    • scripts used for model estimations
    • data sets used during the laboratories
    • zTree installation
  • STATA installation from the web (temporary licence)
  • lunch and coffee breaks,
  • one social dinner with all participants
  • one city tour on Saturday.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded at the end of the course.

 

 

 

* Funding for financing reduced fees is already available and further funding requests are under evaluation.

Reduced fees will be allocated on the basis of quality of the application and funds availability.

Criteria for awarding the reduced fees are based on

1) order of pre-enrollment,

2) country of provenance of the student,

3) income

4) motivation evaluated on the basis of the application form.  Letters of recommendation will be also considered.

 

**Admission into the program is limited, therefore late registration is subject to prior approval and enrollment will be possible only if the waitlist is empty.

 

*** The SIEA and SIDEA member must have paid the 2023 annual membership fee 

Payment

 

Instructions for the payments

 

The payment is due by the 30th of April, 2024.

 

Details will be provided by e-mail together with the admission notice that will be sent before April 20, 2024.

 

In order to make the payment (to be made only after the admission notice), please follow the istructions provided by the secretariat.

 

If a minimum of 15 participants have not paid the fee by the date of April 30, the Summer School will not take place and the fee will be fully reimbursed.

Cancellation policy

A 20% cancellation fee will be charged to any enroled participant who cancels before May 30, 2024. If the enroled participant intends to cancel after this date, or does not show up for the course, the fee will not be refunded.  

The fee will not be refunded for those who arrive late or leave before completing the course.

 

The course will take place only in case the minimum number of 15 participants is reached.

In the event of course cancellation, all paid fees will be refunded. However, we are in no way liable for non-refundable travel reservations.

The summer school will take place at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Bologna.

The Faculty is in the outskirts of town, about 7 km from the Bologna's main railway station.

By airplane

By train

The "Bologna Centrale" main railway station is located in the city centre. 


One can reach the Department by the 35 bus line (direction "Facoltà di Agraria").

By car

Traveling by car is easy, the city of Bologna is served by several highways.
The city is at the junction of the A1, A14 and A13 highways, and so is easily accessible from anywhere in Italy. The "Tangenziale" is a high traffic road that runs on the northern ring of the city (beware of the peak hours!).
